Fixing The Bais

At Aurora50, we are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. As part of this commitment, we recognised the need to address the gender bias that exists in AI systems. Women are vastly underrepresented in the datasets used to train AI, resulting in AI systems that are biased against women and perpetuate gender inequality.

To address this problem, we launched the "Fixing the bAIs" initiative.
We believe that AI has the potential to revolutionize our world, but not when it comes to gender representation. That's why we have set out to fix AI's gender bias using AI itself.

We have created a vast image bank of women in various professions, using image-generating AI tools such as Midjourney, Dall-e, and Stable Diffusion. Our goal is to populate the public image datasets used to train AI with these images, to teach AI that women can be engineers, mathematicians, CEOs, and more. By doing so, we aim to break the gender barriers in professions and promote inclusivity.

All of our images are royalty and rights-free, and we encourage you to download and use them on the internet. The more these images are used, the more AI can learn and recognize the diversity of the world we live in.

Additionally, We invite you to join us on our Discord channel to share your support and collaborate with others in the community. There are many ways to get involved, from spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #fixingthebAIs to creating your own images using AI tools and uploading them to our website. We encourage diversity in your creations, not just portraits but also full-body images, from all ethnicities and in all styles - photographic, illustration, and more.

Together, let's fix AI's bias and embrace equity for all.

Aurora50
Aurora50 is a UAE-based social enterprise that creates inclusive, thriving GCC workplaces. Our first successful initiative was to increase the number of women on boards in the UAE through the Pathway20 accelerator and Manarat invite-only club for independent GCC women board directors. Since then, we have expanded our focus to support listed corporations, large private organisations, and high-growth businesses alike with all their diversity, equity, and inclusion (also known as DE&I, D&I, DEI, DEIB, DEIA, or EDI) needs.
